Convert a multi-page PDF table to Excel

Join a table that continues across many pages into one spreadsheet without repeated headers and footers breaking the data.

Statements, catalogues and reports often repeat the same table structure on every page. PDFtoGrid can combine selected pages into one table, but page furniture and slight column shifts need attention before export.

Step-by-step workflow

1. Identify the first and last pages containing the repeated table.
2. Turn on Combine pages into one table and Skip page headers and footers.
3. Set the page range so covers, summaries and legal pages are excluded.
4. Tune column spacing while checking rows from the beginning, middle and end.
5. Remove any repeated header row that remains, export XLSX and verify row counts.

Why page headers survive

Automatic removal is intentionally cautious. A header that changes slightly—such as a date, branch name or page number—may look like data. Delete those rows in the preview or filter them in Excel using a value that only headers contain.

Column drift between pages

PDF generators sometimes shift a column by a few points on alternate pages. Choose a spacing threshold that works across the whole range. If one section cannot align without breaking another, process those pages separately.

Verify completeness

Record the expected first and last row on each page before conversion. After export, check those boundary rows and compare the number of source entries with the spreadsheet count. This catches dropped or duplicated page transitions.
